How Much Does It Cost to Create a Garden?
During our consultation, we can discuss your budget and identify the best approach for achieving your goals.
Every garden is unique, and costs can vary depending on the size of the project, materials selected, and complexity of the design. Rising material and labour costs have increased landscaping budgets in recent years, so designing with a clear budget in mind is more important than ever.
Can you supply trees and plants?
Yes. I can source and supply all trees, shrubs, and plants specified within your garden design at trade prices, for a small fee. These are carefully selected from trusted UK nurseries and delivered directly to your garden.
Planting can then be carried out by my gardening team, or your contractors, to ensure everything is established correctly and in keeping with the design.
What Does a Garden Designer Do?
I work closely with you to create a bespoke garden tailored to your property, lifestyle, and aspirations.
This can include developing the overall garden style, space planning, hard landscaping design, planting plans, furniture selection, and finishing touches to bring the scheme together.
How Involved Do I Need to Be in the Project?
That depends entirely on your preference. Some clients prefer to take an active role and manage the build themselves, while others would rather leave the entire process to the professional team.
From a soft planting refresh to a full hard and soft landscaping garden design, and an optional monitoring service, I can provide the level of support that suits you best.
Do You Also Build the Garden?
Garden design and garden construction are separate disciplines. Much like an architect designs a house and a contractor builds it, I design your garden and can recommend trusted landscaping professionals to carry out the build (plus offer my optional monitoring service).
Or work alongside your chosen contractor to help ensure the design is delivered as intended.
Will You Maintain the Garden Once It Has Been Built?
Once your garden is complete, I provide a simple handover guide with advice on caring for your new plants, hard landscaping materials, and outdoor furniture.
If ongoing maintenance support is required, I can also recommend trusted local gardening professionals.
