My Story
Hello, I’m Sarah, a qualified Professional Garden Designer and APL member (Association of Professional Landscapers) . Whether you're looking for a complete hard and soft landscaping design or simply want to refresh your planting scheme, I can help bring your garden to life.
For twenty five years, I captured human stories on film as an award winning documentary maker.
I travelled the world chasing light, capturing truth, and uncovering the deep connection between people and the places they inhabit. Eventually, that search for connection led me out of the editing suite and into the soil.
I decided to pursue a new career in garden design, completing a full-time intensive Diploma in Garden Design at The Garden Design School, based at the University of Bristol Botanic Garden, graduating with Distinction. The course deepened my passion for creating beautiful, functional outdoor spaces and provided a strong foundation in both the artistic and practical aspects of garden design.
Today, I use my experienced editorial eye to direct living landscapes.
At Sarah Chaffer Garden Design, we believe a garden shouldn’t just look beautiful it should say something about who you are.
